Help with XBL connection

So I am finally going to get a phone line in my bedroom so that I can get my 360 on live without moving it into my living room. I was wondering if I could just run the phone line into my new router in my room and then run an ethernet cable to my 360. I hope it is that simple.I have know clue if this is how to do it. This was the just how I was told by my cousin to do it.If anyone else knows how to do this or if this is right please hepl me out.Help with XBL connection
A phone line? Doesn't that mean it will be like 56kHelp with XBL connection
I am pretty sure you are going to need to hook up your 360 a router connected the modem. Sorry if you do not have a router.
If you have a computer in your room that has internet, you will be able to get Xbox Live through that.
Sorry I forgot to include the modem. I do have a modem to connect the router to.So It will work then?
I think it should work cause thats how mine is right now.
Wouldn't the phone line make it dial-up?
Ya, I'm confused how you'd connect a 360 to the internet through dialupDoesn't it have to do that phone static thing and stuff to connect?
Wouldn't the phone line make it dial-up?
No the phone line goes into the broadband modem (or router/modem combination) and then you connect the 360 to the router and it should work yes because that is how mine is set up.
