When does the new controller come out?

The one that MS is releasing everywhere but North America with the improved D-pad? And if I am cmopletely ignorant and the thing has already come out, to our non-NA users can you tell the difference? When does the new controller come out?
I'm pretty sure that it has come out alreadyAnd from what I've read, it makes a world of difference When does the new controller come out?
new controller?
new controller?
^^this. :?
im from Australia... and I have not heard of any new controller.
My friend just recently bought one in Germany. The new D-Pad is a god send.
It's out in the UK right now. I think it was released mid-October, or at least that's when I started seeing huge piles of them in stores. I think it's meant to be a limited edition. It's bright green (ick) and from what my Game buddies tell me, does make a world of difference on those games that actually use the d-pad.
I'm pretty sure, that came out ages ago.
The D-pad is raised slightly so it doesn't ''Snap'' to a direction instantly. It locks on to the up down left right easily, but the increased height makes it far easier to do diagonals
oh yeah ive seen the green one in shops. didnt know it had a better d-pad :S

Yeah I heard they released it in those markets for the Winnign Eleven / FIFA games that rely on a good directional (that apprently MS was losing market share in the football / soccer category. I don't think it's a limited release though...
I think I heard it was a limited edition as well, although that doesnt make much sense, but then again, not releasing it in all areas and making it the default controller doesnt make sense either. If it is built better and easier to use, why not just make it mandatory?
i am not sure

So I guess I'm saying, maybe it's only a limited release until they use up the existing inventory of the old design).
makes sense, hopefully that sort of thing will happen, a better overall D-Pad can be useful in any game. Especially fighting games which require more precise controls, even the random FPS such as Fallout 3, its hot key placement can be troublesome at times. Thanks for the info
I don't really mind the D-Pad on my white wireless controller, if they released the new one in white than I'll probably consider it.
I picked up the new controller a little whie ago, and it seems odd that they would go through the developing process to improve the controller without actually fully implementing it, i mean how long would it take to develop, 3 months, 6 weeks? Recall some stock and replace it, while charging a premium, makes good business senses to me...
Is there a way to get it in America
Is there a way to get it in America
import it? I dunno, but we do it all the time in europe
