Fable 2, maybe glitch help please.

I'm warning now, this might contain slight spoilers but it's not far into the game. The quest requires me to go to the Temple of Light and speak to the Abbot. I got there and saw him talking to someone but I had to leave so I saved and turned off. When I came back I played for a few mins and now the Abbot is in the temple, he doesn't speak or react to any expressions. I see no girl that I'm suppose to escort and there is no Bread Trail to lead me anywhere. I think I might've screwed up a trigger or something and am curious if I have to start a new character (which would BLOW because I've spent my hours on this one doing random stuff... Blehh). Has anyone experienced this? Fixed it? I've tried leaving the zone and coming back, tried other quests to see if this one would restart, and I've turned off the game/Xbox. maybe you already fixed it, but trying going to the quests menu and checking out the details for your main quest. it should either say talk to the abbot or go to the cave, because you don't actually escort the girl from the temple of light but from the cave entrance itself. hope that helpsFable 2, maybe glitch help please.
Are you trying to do it in the day or the night, because when i had to speak to the abbot i entered town in the night and i had no bread crumb trail until the next morning so maybe its something similar to that where you can only do it during the day

^^ Just follow the road all the way straight down the hill from the Temple of Light.

i had the same problem, but it says talk to the abbot in oafield. i have NOT done the quest for the rookridge bridge yet.
